Herbert List (Alemania, 1903-1975) fue un artista de formación clásica que combinó el amor por la fotografía con una fascinación por el surrealismo y el clasicismo. List llegó a convertirse en el fotógrafo más destacado del estilo Fotografia Metafísica. Él ha descrito sus imágenes como “visiones compuestas donde [mis] estructuras tratan de capturar la esencia mágica que habita y anima el mundo de las apariencias.”

Herbert List (Germany, 1903-75) was a classically educated artist who combined a love of photography with a fascination for Surrealism and Classicism. List rose to become the most prominent photographer of the Fotografia Metafisica style. He has described his images as “composed visions where [my] arrangements try to capture the magical essence inhabiting and animating the world of appearances.”
